Geography
The island of Phuket, surrounded by the Andaman Sea, is located
890km (550 miles) or a 70 minute flight south of Bangkok on Thailand's
Coast. Measuring 49km (30 miles) long and 21km (13 miles) wide,
and covering a total area of 587km? (225 miles), it is approximately
the size of Singapore. Draped around it like a pearl necklace
are an additional 70km (27 miles) of islands.
